Ordained Ministers
Mr. Johnson is an Ordained Deacon and Elder. He is married to Apostle Kathy Johnson, and they share three children and six grandchildren. Elder Johnson faithfully serves as the adult Sunday School teacher while liberally sharing his talents and wisdom. He is a retired school administrator, having served as a Teacher, Athletic Director, and Principle. He now enjoys church and his family, especially his grandchildren.
Elder Hayward Hanna, is married with seven children, twenty grandchildren and two great-grands. Elder has a strong pastoral anointing and great leadership skills. His life experiences have helped to equip him for ministry.
Min. Jerry Schenck, is an ordained Minister with two children. He attains an Associate Degree in Communications, and a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling. Min. Jerry has served in many areas of the Church: Usher, Teacher, discipleship, Prison Ministry, Choir, Youth Ministry, Evangelism, church van driver and church cleaning. He is also a Care Group Leader and known as an encourager by all. His life verse is Ephesians 3:20.
Eldress Ann Mulkey has faithfully served GSG for many years, and is ordained in the office of a Teacher and stationed as an Elder. She leads the Armor Bearer’s Ministry and personally assists Apostle Kathy. Other facets of what she does includes: Prayer Coordinator, Healing Room, church finance, and administrative support. As a Care Group Leader, she is quoted, “I love people and desire to see them walk in their purpose.”
Min. Rhonda Dixon, is an ordained Minister, is married with four children and six grandchildren. A long term and faithful member, and a strong pillar at GSG, Min. Rhonda has served in many roles. She has a nurturing spirit and cares deeply about people. Presently, she chairs the Greeter Ministry and is also active within the music and drama ministry. Min. Rhonda additionally serves as a Care Group Leader.
Min. Natasha Williams is a native of Louisiana. She is an ordained Minister and the mother of one daughter. Min. Natasha has been actively involved in ministry for the past 30 years, serving in multiple areas as Worship Leader, Choir and Drama Director. She also assists with Media, the Deliverance Team, and is a Care Group Leader. Assisting in other areas includes sewing and decoration. Her life verse is 1 Corinthians 15:58.
Min. Carolyn Bowser, is a native of Hickory, NC. She is married with two adult daughters. Min. Carolyn attains a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Currently, Min Carolyn has oversight over the Nursery, leads the Women’s ministry, and is a Care Group Leader. She also serves as Altar Ministry Assistant, and is a member of the Deliverance and Drama Teams.
Licensed Ministers
Min. Spencer Dixon, is a licensed Minister, and is married with four children and six grandchildren. A faithful member and a strong pillar at GSG, Min. Spencer does it all. He is very active in the media/music area. He has served the church faithfully as a Deacon for many years.
Min. Catherine Palmer, a licensed Minister, has two adult daughters and five grandchildren. Originally from Princess Anne MD, she presently works as a Consumer Safety Inspector, with 21 years of service, for the US Department of Agriculture. Ministry involvement includes: Greeter Ministry (co-chair), Pastor’s Appreciation Team, Altar Ministry, and Finance Committee. Previously, she was a part of a Praise Team and Women’s Ministry. She is also a Care Group Leader.
Minister Sarah, a licensed minister has two children and is a native of North Carolina. Min Sarah serves as the youth Sunday School teacher and has a great love for Evangelism. Her desire to worship God shines through as she faithfully serves within the music ministry. Min Sarah’s life verse is Phil 4:6-7 and she is currently a part of the ministry’s intercessory prayer team.
Min. Tatavega Tipps, a licensed Minister, is married with six children and three grandchildren. She works with the children in the Flag Ministry, and is a part of the Dance/Flag Arts Ministry, where she loves to praise and worship the Lord. Her life verse is Psalm 34:1. Min.Tasha takes courage in knowing that she is fearfully and wonderfully made.
Durendia Brown, was a licensed Minister at Greater Shekinah Glory Ministries. In January 2022, Durendia transitioned to be with the Lord leaving to mourn her departure, her husband and 2 daughters. Min Durendia was always willing to serve and one of her strongest attributes was her heart to work with children, inside and outside the church. She taught children’s Sunday School and served as a greeter. She also coached community sports teams. Durendia has been and will continue to be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
